Available Colors for SC Rifles
The SC1 and SC3 series of rifles use the McMillan line of stocks. Because of this, we can use any of the McMillan molded in colors or painted on colors. One of the most common questions we get is for some more detailed photos of the available colors and camouflage patterns. This page was put together to show all the available patterns and colors for both the stock and the metal work on SC1, SC3 and SC4 series of rifles. As we introduce more models into our lineup, we may or may not use McMillan stocks depending on the particular model (the SC2 uses HS Precision stocks). All future models that use McMillan stocks will have the same available options shown below.
Rifle Stock - Painted Colors
The industrial grade polyurethane painted finishes from McMillan offer a very durable solid color for the stocks. The pebble texture of the painted stocks is very nice, offering better textile feel and grip over the non painted molded in color finishes. This extra grip is great for bad weather conditions and looks excellent also. McMillan sands the stock down first and then primes and paints. We at SC really enjoy the feel and finish of the painted stocks, but the paint will scratch and chip over time when the rifles go through heavy field use.

Rifle Stock - Molded Patterns
McMillan offers seven different stock camouflage patterns that can be molded into their stocks. The molded in colors will never chip of scratch because they are molded into the fiberglass. The downside is that the stocks are smoother in finish and do not offer as nice of a griping surface. Most of the stocks do have a texture molded into the pistol grip and forearm though, which does help, but it is not as nice as the painted finishes. McMillan also will do marble patterns. When done with greens, blacks, browns, grays, etc you get a tiger stripe camouflage pattern. We can specify any 3 of the standard McMillan molded in colors for a Marble pattern. For the standard camouflage patterns, look at the images below. Click on the individual color to get a larger image to better see the pattern.
