Well, this is just about the opposite of what you were ever expect to be sold from Sniper Central! But hey, we are gun nuts all the way around and this was a fun project we put together a number of years ago.
This was Remington 870 12 gauge that was configured for home defense and included a few upgrades. It was purchased in standard tactical configuration with 18.5″ barrel and long ammo tube, 8 rounds seems to sound correct but we are not sure. The mods included adding the Surefire tactical forearm grip with light and then the other mod was to switch out the buttstock for a youth buttstock. The reasoning behind that was the shorter buttstock allows for easier handling in tight spots that you might find yourself in around your home. We were surprised at just how much more handy the shorter buttstock made the shotgun and it turned out well. We will be honest and point out that the quality of the factory Remington youth buttstock isn’t great as you can see the buttpad does not line up perfectly to the stock. That was the way it came, and its perfectly functional, but it just looks a bit tacky.
Honestly, we cannot remember ever firing the shotgun. If we did, it was less than 20 rounds. The shotgun ships in a hard case to a licensed FFL dealer only.
